Find a registered business online

Use this service to find a registered gas engineer or business. Simply enter your postcode into the service in the panel on the right of this page and select the distance of any results from your location.

You will then be provided with a list of 10 randomly selected Gas Safe registered businesses in your area including the following details:

Contact details
Services provided (domestic and non-domestic)
Gas type that they are qualified to work on (LPG / bottled gas or natural gas)
Areas of work that they are qualified to work on

To conduct a more advanced search, click on the ‘Advanced search’ tab and use the drop down menus to input the type of service you require (domestic or non-domestic), the type of gas (natural or LPG), and the area of work.

You can also search for a Gas Safe registered business by name. Simply click on the ‘Find a business by name’ tab and input the name of the business you are looking for.

Installing Gas Meters

When a gas meter is installed, the engineer must hold the
appropriate level of competence and also be registered with Gas Safe Register. In addition to these requirements, the installer / organisation must be registered with Ofgem as an Ofgem Approved Meter Installer (OAMI) for the appropriate category of
meter works (COP1a, COP1b and COP1c). A list of Ofgem approved meter installers can
be found on the Ofgem website.
